Mr Luzac Posted Thursday, September 17, 2009 04:03 PM I'm not sure if I spelled his name correctly but how can anyone who was in SCPA forget Mr. Luzac. He always had the great classical music playing, taught Music Theory, and Humanities. I learned a lot from that man, and it was nice to have a safe place to go for that class I needed to miss due to forgetting to do my homework. Oops! did I really say that?

RE: Mr, Cuzac Posted Friday, October 16, 2009 12:23 AM His name is Mr. Luzak. I remember the first time I entered his class. There were so many students in there, and not enough desks. He said something and some students sat on a table at the back of the room. I was so embarrased because I didn't understand what he said. I didn't speak any English, but he was so sweet that I never felt weird about being the only ESL student in his class. I came back years later to CVHS as a sub, and I went to visit him. I'm glad I did before he retired. I managed to get an A in his class. Thank you Dad for helping me do my homework, and thank you Mr. Luzak for the Birthday card you gave me and for all the nice comments on my report card. |

RE: Mr Luzac Posted Friday, October 16, 2009 07:52 AM Thank you for correcting me on his name, I know there was a Mr. Cuzac but you are right the correct name was Luzac and I am deeply embarrassed that I forgot that. Mr. Luzac was the best, he always had a seat available in his room for those who needed to escape a class for an hour, or was always there to assist with anything from Humanities to life problems. I remember one morning my Grandmother had been taken to the hospital and I was all depressed and worried. A note was brought into the class from my parents to give to me, and instead of just giving the note to me, he announced that my grandmother was going to be O.K. and it really made me feel that he honestly cared, and that the situation was going to be good. I did terrible in Humanities and in Intro to Music Theory, but when I had to come back from AP music Theory, I actually got 2 As in his class. Mr. Luzac you are a great person, and I'm sure we all miss you. I know I do. |
