I am so deeply saddened by Jan's passing. He was such a great guy....so full of fun and energy, that huge smile always on his face. Just reading the other comments that have been posted serves as a reminder of who Jan was, the impact he had, the friendships he developed and maintained. And that says everything about the life he lived. And the person he was. I feel blessed to have known him. Rest in peace Jan.

Jan was super friendly to everyone in School! He had a very happy spirit and was just an all around good person. I will never ever forget the 20th Reunion Ice Breaker after party at Tenley's home.Jan showed up and I said "Jan! You stole my best hair our Senior year thanks"! He replyed " You can have the darn thing it has been a curse ever since"! We both laughed so hard I think we both almost fell on the ground laughing so hard! He was that kind of a guy always joking and putting a smile on your face! Jan you will be missed very much so by all those who had the pleasure to know you bud! Be at peace my brother. ><> Daniel.

Like many, I've known Jan since elementary school. I didn't hang out with him but knew of him. He seemed kind and happy. And the hair! So curly! Reading the posts says so much of the person he was. Say hi to the Lancers in heaven! You will be missed

I was so sadden to her the news of Jan's passing. I feel for his family and friends. I didn't know Jan personally, but I do remember his beautiful head of hair and his great smile. Rest in peace Jan. My condolences to his family and friends.Barbara Shinn (Jacobsen)
I also didn't know Jan in HS but many years ago, while walking my dog, Jan came up to me and said, "well, you haven't changed since HS"! Even though his dark curly hair was a bit thinner and a bit grey, I knew it was Jan. I was so surprised that popular kid from HS ever knew who I was! A few years ago, Jan lived across the street from me and I got to know him better and also his sweet daughter. Always kind and had a smile on his face. I have read all of the posts we have written about him. Jan left an impression on our lives. He will be missed by so many.
