Dear Friends and Lancer 1981 Alumni,
It’s with a heavy heart that I let you know I received a message yesterday from her best friend of 40 plus years Kathy McKissick that Gayle Vogel passed away on June 6th. I personally knew Gayle and Kathy as they were always together. I also was on a swim team called the Chula Vista Dolphinets with Gayle and her sisters when we were in elementary school and we also went to catechism and made our confirmation together at St. Pius on East Naples St. We hung out every now and again through the early years after High school. I feel obligated as a friend of Gayle’s and to Kathy McKissick to let Hilltop 1981 alumni know about this. Those of you that new Gayle knew that she was funny she laughed a lot and she always had a smile on her face and she could make you happy by hearing her laugh. My heart is broken that this wonderful person has lost her life at such a young age of 54. I know Kathy is having a hard time so Please keep her and Gayle’s family and friends in prayer and lift them up through this difficult time.
