Larry was also a good friend and it's taken much too long for me to comment on his passing.  Our friendship started just about the time the Beatles and the British Invasion started.  He used to come over to my house and we would play guitars together.  We weren't very good, but we were loud (much to the chagrin of the Beitl's that lived behind us).  He had this uncanny ability to find the chords to songs we wanted to play.  Once we knew the song, we'd try to harmonize the vocals.  A lot of times, Tom Bullis and Steve Bennett would join in the chaos.  It was a great time sharing our love for music and guitars.  Larry was soft spoken and one of the nicest guys I knew.  I think I saw Larry once after high school at a house on the beach where we played guitars again.  Those memories of us trying our best to make music are some of my fondest.
