Our camping trips to June Lake were the best!  The time we went to the Billy Graham event will always be a fond memory.

Pat and I were young childhood friends. We lived near each other and our parents would often get together for dinners and canasta. We took dance lessons together (I have a photo somewhere of us in our "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" outfits with Monte Hall), attended Flower Street School together, and sometimes attended Sunday school together when we just couldn't get out of it. I especially recall when the Ross family got the first television set I had ever seen -- it was in a wooden cabinet and the screen was approximately 8"-10" square. It was a "color" tv in that it had a transparent rainbow panel over the screen which also served as a magnfier so the tiny picture could more easily be viewed.

My family moved to the other side of CV when I was in third grade and I only saw her a time or two after that as we attended different schools and our two families' lives took different paths. I will always think fondly of her, though, as she was my first "best friend".
