Mike Skiles was married to Treasa (Struble) Skiles who was a 1964 graduate of Hilltop.

Michael Leslie Skiles January 24, 1946 - May 1, 2018 San Diego Mike was born in Brawley, CA, to Ralph and Betty Skiles. The family moved to Chula Vista in 1949, where Mike attended elementary, junior high and high school. He graduated from Hilltop High in 1963, where he honed his tennis skills for a lifetime love of the sport. After graduation, he attended SDSU (class of '66) and USD School of Law (class of '71).
After passing the California Bar, he went to work for a national retailer, climbing the corporate ladder with moves to Los Angeles, Atlanta, Georgia, and Rochester, Michigan. In 1996, he returned to San Diego, where he was asked to head the Western Region for a major home-improvement chain. He was a former member of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate Policy Advisory Board.
He was an avid tennis player, long-distance runner Boston Marathon Finisher in 2014 with son, Brian swimmer, avid Aztec fan, long-suffering Padres fan, and world traveler. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by Treasa, his wife of 50 years, their sons and respective spouses, Brian (Lee) and Kevin (Milly), five lively "Grands": Olivia, Chloe, Jack, Toby, and Shelby, and his three sisters, Diane Taylor (Steve Reed), Cathy McCarty, and Barbara Gauthier (Dale), in addition to 9 nieces and nephews and their children. Mike will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held at Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church on June 2 at 2 p.m. A celebration of life follows at the Skiles residence in Point Loma. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or The Elizabeth Hospice.
Sorry to hear That Mike passed. I wondered, many time, what he was doing and if he remained in Chula Vista. Now I know...I remember his one girlfriend in Jr. High (CVJH) was Cathy Thompson. Remember, Cathy? You had really long, blond hair. I remember Mike in 6th grade at Lillian J. Rice Ele. He always had the right answers. No surprise that he was a successful man, father, and husband.
