Monika R. Breuer died on July 19, 1999, at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio subsequent to an injury. She had completed two years of education past high school. She was never married.
I remember Monica's wonderful smile, man could she light up the class room. Her laugh was so infectious! What a blast to be with her. Thanks for the laughter you shared!
Her name was spelled M-O-N-I-K-A. There was no injury. It was cancer. Her favorite flowers were daffodils. Christmas was the most important holiday to her, but hated having her birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper. She collected hearts. Yes, I mean anything in heart shape or that had hearts on it, but I think she collected a lot of human hearts as well. Unfortunately, she never met the right guy and had children, but she loved her neices, nephews, and my children with all of her incredibly huge heart.
I remember Monika from grade school. We were good friends waay back then. Sadly, once we moved on to Middle school and High school, we were never in class together again. She was a quiet, kind, beautiful person. Thank you Cindy for sharing how wonderful she was!
When we moved here in the middle of freshman year, Monika was one of the first people to talk to me and make me feel welcome. We remained good friends all through high school. I saw her a few times after the 15 year reunion, but then lost touch again. Yes, her smile could light up any room, but I think I'll remember her eyes the most. I'm sad that she is gone.
