FROM KAREN'S BROTHER MIKE:
Thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers. It's amazing the 40th high reunion is coming up. Where does the time go? It seems to be passing by faster the older we get. I wish Karen could have had the opportunity to go to the reunion.
As for a little bit about Karen. She stayed living in the area for her entire life, living the past 25 years or so with her 2nd husband on a farm in Amelia. She had one child from her first marriage, and three kids with her 2nd husband. Her kids have all grown to be awesome adults, 3 of them graduating from Xavier. Her husband Jerry, is a professor at Xavier. She had a good life. She loved farming and traveling, and she did alot of both. They traveled on vacation to many areas of the world. She was a great cook and was able to maintain a huge organic garden for many years. She remained positive, funny and upbeat to the very end. I'm trying to round up a couple good pictures from her adult life. Unfortunately I didn't get to spend much time with her as time went on, so I don't have many pics. But I'll contact her kids and I'm sure they'll send a few.
Sincerely,
Mike

Thanks for the update Mike. I attended the service for Karen but, did not get a chance to speak with you or Eddie. From watching the photos scroll on the monitor at the funeral home it looked like she lived a wonderful life. I was saddened to hear of Karen's passing. She was a wondeful person and a I always enjoyed the time we spent together as teenagers. I feel so bad for not keeping in touch all these years. I was helping a friend drywall a young couples garage last summer in a house where Willowville ballfields once stood not knowing that the young lady who lived there with her husband was one of Karen's daughters!
