Pete was a bit of a mystery to me and I suspect to most of our classmates. He was always pleasant to me, with a mischievous smile, one that said, "I know something that you don't." Perhaps he did. Nonetheless he always seemed to be on the periphery of things and I should have reached out to him, but, of course,I didn't.
I remember Bob Tharp telling me that Pete didn't come to one of the reunions because he didn't think anyone liked him. What a shame, and not true.
