Alan had a down note, droll sense of humor that made him a lot of fun to hang out with.

He could cut through stuff in a sometimes biting way, not always kind!, but it would make

me smile or laugh maybe when I shouldn't have. 

Even at the last reunion his old ways were intact and I figured he must have been born that way.

I have good memories of him and the fun times we had.
