I was so saddened to hear of Irv's passing. We were good friends in 9th grade. He was my first date. Summer of 1962 we volunteered at the Jewish Center day camp passing our playground equipment to the campers. After camp was over he walked me home (I lived in Roselawn) and he would go to his grandparents house who also lived in Roselawn. He was so funny and my fondest memory is how he made me laugh, in most cases, hysterically. As an adult I got to know his wife Donna who at that time was the principal at Yavneh Day School.
He was a very kind person, always a good listener more interested in asking questions about you than talking about himself. In most recent years (before he moved to IL) he would come into my place of employment (Raco Industries) to purchase labels and tags and other price marking products for his store. We would always chat about Woodward days.  My condolences go out to Donna and his entire family. May his memory be a blessing.

My faith tells me that Irv simply has passed on to another part of his life, that his love and wisdom cannot die--we shall meet again!   I look forward to greeting Irv again, love cannot die and love was one of Irv's strongest blessings.  So, Irv, see ya!

Irv will be remembered as a kind, gentle , soft-spoken person and not showy at all. Our families were friends . IN later years i would see Irv at events hosted by my sister and all of the life cycle events that he and donna attended . In spite of his Parkinsen's , it never stopped him from attending  and always with a smile on his face .May you RIP , my old friend .

I'm so sorry to hear of Irv's passing.  Irv was a great guy with a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor.

Our freshman year at Ohio State, we kept running into each other.  After one "run in" we decided to buy season tickets together to a concert series.  It was always so much fun to be friends with him.

I was so happy to see the photos of Irv with his wife, children and grandchildren.  I'm so glad he had a big, loving family around him.

Irv, We go back a long time, including a friendship, and a very long standing friendship between our mom's.. To everyone that reads this. We must revere the time we are on loan here., and realize how thin the line is. Your smile and warmth will be missed by all of us that you touched...

I was friends with Irv in drama club. I remember hm as soft spoken with a ready smile.

I didn't know where he went after Woodward, and would sometimes wonder. I was happy to read that he had a happy life with a loving family. He deserved it. My condolences to,all of them
