Robert Otto Otto

I "retired" after 34 years with General Electric. During my tenure there I was a Draftsman, Purchasing Manager, and an International Manufacturing Program Manager. I have also served as a Volunteer, and a part-time paid, firefighter and EMT on four different fire departments. I just retired from Glassy Mountain Fire Department where I served as a Firefighter, EMR, and department Safety Officer. I've also served on several boards and am currently on the board of Arizona Musicfest.

My wife retired from P&G where she was the Corporate Global Communications Officer. She started a second career with Weber Shandwick as a consultant, and retired from there as well. She also serves on several boards.

We live half the year in Desert Mountain, Scottsdale, AZ, and the other half of the year in a second home in Pine Canyon CC, Flagstaff, AZ.

I have two unusual items in my past. I was the "kid" who lowered the flag in front of the school when Kennedy was shot. I'd been skipping a class and was in Swifton Shopping Center and saw the announcement on a TV there. The school was quite upset with me for messing with the flag.....till they heard why. Then I just sort of disappeared in the chaos.

I'm also probably the only guy who broke a leg dancing!!! I was at a cotillion dance and we were all doing a circle dance to SHOUT. When the guy behind me pushed my up in the air at the beginning of the song, I came down kinda sideways and broke my leg
