I knew Larry as well as you know anyone who has been alphabetically assigned to the same class for most of our high school years - and maybe even before that. He was a big kind kid, usually cheerful easy to talk to, but always with a touch of sadness about him for some reason, but perhaps his sadness was just imagined by me. He was killed in a mortorcycle accident the summer following our graduation in 1964.
Larry and I were cousins and grew up together on Asbury Rd. It is hard for me to remember way back then but I know we would play together since our family of five homes were all next to each other. It was grandpa Hauke's property in which his girls lived in. I am pretty sure Larry had also just joined the military but do not have those details right now. Larry had two sisters, Linda the older and Pat the jounger and she is my kissin cousin. I get to see her every once in a while since she lives with her husband in TX.
