After high school, Jennifer graduated from Pitzer College with a degree in English. Since the early '90s, she worked as the assistant secretary to the board of trustees at Scripps College. She married her husband, Rick, in 1989 and together they had two children whom they adored. Her son was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when he was six, and Jen became an active advocate for him and for others with the disease. Jen was a fabulous cook, an excellent writer and editor, an avid reader, and a talented quilter. She loved making her historic house in Ontario a beautiful home for her family. She had a quick wit and a truly brilliant mind. Her sense of justice was deep, as were her own emotions. She was beautiful.
