Robert Dixon

 

Robert W. Dixon, 57, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Saturday night at Mercy Hospital.

Born in Scranton, son of William L. Dixon, Clarks Summit, and the late Reine Williams Dixon, he was formerly employed as a diesel mechanic for the International Harvester Co. He then worked as a diamond drill bit salesman for the Acker Drill Co., Clarks Summit. He was the owner of Dixon Design Ltd.

He was a member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church and a 1968 graduate of Abington Heights High School. A graduate of Williamsport Area Community College, he also attended Lycoming College. He was an Eagle Scout, a Forest Lake District Council representative, and served as commissioner for the Abington Youth Soccer League.

Bob lived his life with great passion. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed any time he spent with them. He was also a loyal and fun-loving friend. He enjoyed cars, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

Also surviving are a son, William A. and wife, Amber, Fleetville; a daughter, Marissa A. O'Donnell and husband, Brian, Moscow; a brother, Bruce and wife, Mary, Clarks Summit; a sister, Lynn Oberg and husband, Don, East Windsor, N.J.; four grandchildren, Kyla, Nathan, Ainsley and Molly; and three nieces.
