Thomas Dooley

Thomas W. Dooley, 67, Eynon, passed away Saturday at home. He was the son of the late Thomas A. and Edna L. Powell Dooley.

Tom was born in Greenwood, April 16, 1950, and graduated from Abington Heights High School. He was an Armyveteran of the Vietnam War, wounded in battle and awarded the Purple Heart.

After his service, he became a cabinet builder and kitchen installer at Bonarickos. Tom then went on to work at Tobyhanna Army Depot as a radio repair and computer technician for 30 years.

Through his employment at Tobyhanna, he was fortunate enough to travel the world, which he loved to do. Upon retirement, he built a woodworking shop and went back to building cabinets and other side projects.

Tom is survived by two sons, Brian Dooley and wife, Kristale, Jermyn; and Richard Dooley and wife, Michele, Greenfield Twp.; a brother, Miles Dooley and companion, Gail; and nieces, Missy Dooley and Ia Atkins. Tom is also survived by lifelong friends, JoAnn Darlak and Dave Bagg and many grandchildren.

Tom will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a kind and giving person that didn't know the word no. He was always willing to help and never wanted to see anyone struggle. We love you dad. Love Brian and Rich.
