I've heard good things about that place as well, but I'm not sure it's big enough, both inside and in regards to parking....Jer

Hello everyone,

Just thought I would put in my two cents regarding the reunion. August is bad, personally, because all my kids go back to school and to make a 12 hour trip a week before school starts is not a smart idea. I think November would work out better because alot of people come in from out of town. But again, just my two cents. Hope all is well with everyone. Hope to see you all soon.

Hi, everyone. I am adding my two cents to Kristen's. I also think Thanksgiving is good because many people are coming in from out of town anyway. Also, while I don't have kids, I work with a lot of kids, and it seems that a lot of kids are pretty scheduled with activities in the summer, and it might make it hard for some people to come in from out of town. Hey, Jerry, do you remember the time I knocked on your door and asked to shovel your driveway?

Hey guys!

I just talked to Sandy Augustine (Henry) for the first time in about 6 years and I think I got her pretty excited about the website(how can you not be?!) and sent her an invite.

But here's the material point that's geramine to the date discussion: when I first mentioned the reunion, out of the blue, the first thing she says is,"Oh, they should have it over Thanksgiving Weekend." I didn't even mention the choices and she hasn't been to the site yet, but that was her first response.

So maybe Thanksgiving will be easier for a lot of people. Hopefully Sandy will join soon and add her own two cents!

Hello everyone! I see some mention of the old Thompson's Dairy Bar (now O'Neil's) as a possible meeting place. I know the owner's (Mike and Jen O'Neil) personally so if you want me to inquire about that place, I would gladly do it.

Hi everyone... I agree that it is great to see so many people interested and willing to help. I, too, am in the area and Sue Flynn knows how to get in touch with me if you guys need help with anything. My brother is the GM at the Holiday Inn in Dunmore. I can see what kind of price he could give us but I need to know an approximate number of people to tell him. Are we looking at about 250???? I will get the info to Sue as soon as I can get it from him.

HERE IS INFORMATION REGARDING CONTRIBUTIONS HONORING MR. REIDENBACH:

Thank you for your e-mail  concerning making contributions to the Student Aid Fund in memory of Robert Reidenbach .
It is fine to put the address on facebook and the mailing address for the Abington Heights Student Aid Fund is P.O. Box 135 Clarks Summit, Pa 18411.

If enought contributions are rec'd , we could also set up a scholarship in memory of Mr.Reidenbach.

Our scholarships range from $500 to $2,500 a year .
A scholarship could be offered for one year or it could be continued beyond that .

I will let yo know the amounts rec'd and you can let me know if you would like a scholarship set up .

If a scholarship is going to be established , we would not be able to make it available untill next year ,since this years scholarships have already been published and sent to the senior class.

Thanks again for showing interest in our Fund . I'm sure that Mr. Reidenbach would have approved of this gesture since he showed a lifelong interest in helping students .

So is there a reunion this thanksgiving weekend?

The Class of '88 reunion supposedly was cancelled last year but my partner and I had flown in for turkey week after my Dad's cardiac surgery a month beforehand. We went on the night of their supposed casual "meet and greet" at the old John K's Pub but I did not see anyone in particular. We stayed for one drink and then went to that Mexican restaurant somewhere across from where the old am/pm minimarket gas station was located decades ago. Dad's having another surgery before turkey week so we'll fly in again for turkey this year after Mom's and my brother's crash and burn in a moving-truck last month in Ohio. Reaching me is better through facebook rather than the unnecessary censoring on here, so get ahold of me if there are any specifics about us all possibly getting together. Thanks. I hope you're all doing well. Take care. --WGR

Hi all!

Storm and I tried to get a reunion off the ground, but there didn't seem to be enough interest.  I guess life is crazy busy at this point for most of us.  Many people are interested in getting together casually the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving.  If we can decide on a day, time and place we can get the word out.
I don't think I can make it Friday due to a party down my way, but I could do Saturday.  What day works for you all?

I did post on Facebook that we could try to do something over the summer even though it will be an odd year for reunions.  What do you think?

I hope everyone is well.

Lou and his wife, Rich, and I and my wife will be at state street at 8pm tonight.  The more the merrier.   Feel free to join.

I might try to stop in.  My boys have a basketball game.

Hi Steve, Lou, Rich, and all,
I can't make it tonight, and hope you all have a nice time together. Please post some pics on Facebook.

Also, I travel out to the East Coast often, so let's plan to get together some other time next year.

I'm in Texas so won't be there unfortunately.  Wish I were though - it would be great see everyone.

Maybe next time we can plan a trip back east with enough notice.

Hope you all have a great time and had a great Thanksgiving!

Rob and everyone,

We'd like to plan a reunion for the summer so please think about being on a "committee" to help us plan.  Also, let us know when would be a good date....perhaps around 4th of July?

Thanks,

Tracy
