I can't believe it's been six years since we lost you Bob (you were always Robert to me). Time flies so fast as we get older, almost as if we're in a hurry to get it over with.
I have many fond memories of you Robert. We had a lot of fun growing up (still working on that growing up part). That was one thing you were always good at--that and breaking bones. Seems like you were breaking your arm or collar bone doing some daredevil thing. I remember dragging State Street with you and picking up, er, uhhh meeting pretty girls, then taking them water skiing with your boat. That was the time I was the one with my right arm in a cast. Used duct tape and a plastic bag as I recall.
Bet your mom never forgot you were the one buying all of us ice cream from the ice cream truck with her coin collection. I still split a gut when I remember those occasions--and there were several.
Remembering all the campouts at Flaming Gorge, and Smith & Morehouse Lake, your uncle's boat "Good Night Irene", riding to Yellowstone on our little Yamaha 100 Twins and thinking the bears would be afraid of our little bikes--ha ha!
With any luck I'll be seeing you soon. Hope they let you come down to visit me where I'll be.
Your friend forever,
Larry Hansen
