Candace Thurgood

February 11, 1966 — July 5, 2018

Candace A. Thurgood peacefully joined her Father in Heaven, surrounded by her loved ones in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 5, 2018. At only 52, she filled lives with joy and love during her short time here.

She was born to Bradley and Patricia Alldredge on February 11, 1966 in Ogden, Utah.

She is a first generation college graduate and received her Master’s Degree in Education. For 25 years, she dedicated her life to inspiring young adults as an educator at Roy High School.

She has three beautiful children, which are the center of her universe. She is survived by her children, Allyson, Zachary and Nichole; siblings, Blake, Chandra and Stephanie; and three precious grandchildren, Nadia, James and Brig.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Hooper Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

All are welcome to join the celebration of a very special spirit.

Candace and her family have asked that in lieu of flowers, spend a night to celebrate your own family and never forget how fragile life is.
