Randy Hartman |
Randy Gayle Hartman, 58, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sept. 22, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Randy was born Dec. 4, 1951, in Ogden, Utah, to Gayle Hartman and Betty Mortensen Hartman. He grew up in Clinton, Utah, and graduated from Clearfield High School. He then took drafting courses at Weber State.
Randy married Lynette Rich on May 7, 1971, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They lived in Layton, Utah, where he worked for Wycoff, then moved to Idaho Falls 23 years ago, where he worked for UPS until his retirement in 2009.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, sports and four-wheeling with his grandchildren. He could fix anything and loved to work on cars and putter around in the garage, but what he really loved most was his wonderful grandchildren. They were the light of his life.
Randy is survived by his loving spouse of 39 years, Lynette; a son, Heath (Heidi) Hartman of Idaho Falls; two daughters, Brooke (Jason) Lords of Rexburg and Sommer (Chris) Holst of Ucon; three brothers, Russ Hartman of Littleton, Colo., Ronn Hartman of East Layton, Utah, and Steve Hartman of Clinton, Utah; a sister, Sue Fahnert of Linden, Utah; and eight grandchildren, Kyler, Tegan, Journee, Tavyn, Taye, Myley, Treyce, Diesel and a new arrival on the way.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Beatrice Hartman and Clint and Mae Mortensen.
To our beloved Husband, Father and Papa: You are truly going to be missed. We love you so much and you will always be in our hearts! Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at the Idaho Falls LDS Willow Creek Ward, 6925 N. 15th East, with Bishop Kurt Clements officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery.
