Frank was a great guy. As I recall, he was a year older than most of us, and this fact (being draft age) led a few of us to play a prank on him during the Cuban missile crisis. We obtained some official looking stationery and sent him a fake letter (with a few inherent hints that it was bogus), drafting him into the armed services. After a couple of weeks, he had mentioned nary a word to us, so we inquired about it. "Oh, THAT letter...I turned it over to the FBI", he said. Of course, he had done no such thing; but he did let us twist in the wind for awhile. Our little prank had backfired. Frank, you aremissed. Rest in peace, dear friend.
