What a wonderful young lady Penny was in high school! She was so brilliant, so pretty, so confident, and so mature and wise-- way beyond her years. The man she married had to be a special guy because Penny also had very high standards. Penny is and will be deeply missed on this side of heaven (where she is singing with the angels).
I periodically troll Google to find our what has become of folks I’ve known in the distant past. I Googled Penny over the Christmas Holidays in 2011. I was stunned and saddened to learn that she had died of ovarian cancer in October that year. She was married to a minister, not surprising, given her religious upbringing. She had three daughters and a granddaughter.
Penny was as good as they come. Smart, friendly, disciplined, principled, musically talented (violin) - she had her act together earlier than most of us.
One of the classiest and nicest people i ever knew.Always a smile and a kind word anytime she saw anyone. I remember her helping me when we had to write a poem in class, her inspiration and help helped me get thru. She never met a stranger and will be greatly missed.
