Tsk tsk Louie,

Some things never change! I can count on you for the variation of the same theme! LOL

I just moved and let me tell you..the next time I have to relocate: I am walking out of the house and wiggling my nose. Too much work for a '69 er.

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the reunion. I am not able to be there and want to see as many photos as possible.

Everyone, have a good weekend

Just an update...I sent an email to Yours Truly (on Som Center and Wilson Mills) today. I will follow that up with a phone call if I don't hear from them by mid-week. Basically I asked if they took reservations and asked about numbers, etc. I'll let you know what I hear. If it's a problem for them to accommodate 20 or more folks, we'll go to plan B. I did tell them how much I love their restaurant and that I go there EVERY time I come to Cleveland (a little flattery...but it's true).

Can't believe this all is happening in less than three weeks. I guess I better rent a car!!

Anyone else arriving at the airport at 7:30 ish on Thursday who needs a ride to the east side?

Are name tags being made ahead of time? If yes, PLEASE make the printing big!!!!!!

Sandie,
Yes they are being made ahead of time. Space is limited so bring your readers.

I received this nice response from Yours Truly. They would like to have a "number" to accommodate us. I've heard from a some of you already. I'd love to send them a final count by October 7...so....let me know if you'll be joining us for brunch...10:30 at Yours Truly at Som and Wilson Mills.

Dear Shelley,

We would be happy to accommodate you and your friends at our Mayfield Yours Truly location on October 16th. The time you requested, 10:30 am, should be perfect. To serve you better, if you could please tell us the final number of guests so we may have everything ready for you at your arrival. Please feel free to contact us via e-mail or phone (440) 461-0000. We thank you for making us part of your special weekend and look forward to seeing you in October.

Sincerely,

Michael Dehner

Shelley,
Regarding the airport on Thursday night: I'm still sorting out my transportation. I'll let you know if I'm going to be there then.

Steve,
If you keep showing off your fonts, I'll call you Stevie in public. :)

Everyone,
Do any of you remember cutting school and swimming in a wonderful swimming hole called Squaw Rock somewhere in the Metroparks?
On this day of reflection/remorse, fast/don't get wet, etc., I was reminded of the day I told my parents I was going to school on Yom Kippur, and instead went swimming at Squaw Rock. Of course I told the school that I had been out for the religious holiday.
The multiple layers of guilt still sting.

To all applicable: May you and yours all have a happy and healthy new year!

Please look at the photos on K-12 and see if you know any of the people with question marks and let me know. Thanks!

Friends, I regret that I will not be attending the reunion. I will miss seeing many of you.

As some of you know, I was in Cleveland recently for a funeral and got to see many of you at Panini’s. I ate at my favorite restaurants and visited my old house, synagogue, and schools with my brother and sister. I also saw additional friends and family at a relative's home after the funeral. I saved the best for last, and capped off the trip with a few beers with my best childhood friend, Michael (Bugsy) Joseph. It was the best damn funeral I ever attended.

I have a new job (which is going great) and must be in LA for my nephew's Bar Mitzvah the last week of November (when I will also see Joel); and just can't justify the time and expense of both trips. We are going to Disneyworld/Orlando next summer and plan to see Bonnie and Val on that trip.

Best wishes to all of you. I will be with you in spirit at the reunion.

My cell is 281 236-6878 and my email is mitchell.berg01@comcast.net if anyone wants to keep in touch.

Mitchell

Hi Everyone...I'M BACK!!! Had a terrific visit with Trudie Kahn who left Cleveland when we started junior High. She was lucky to escape our "insanities" and had her own in California!!! Then had a super visit with Lucy Chan (Julie Barnes) and met up with vivacious Clare and learned a lot! Thank you Clare for a super visit...You live in a very peaceful place compared to San Diego. I was unfortunate not to be able to meet up with Sue...Hubby got sick...so hope to catch you both during reunion visits! Thanks for a great afternoon.

A strange memory of the Jewish Holidays.... Was there a teacher at roosevelt who always gave a test on the Jewish holiday and would fail anyone who was not there? I remember that but as I get older my memory and my Fantasy (leave it alone Louie) get confused...But I do remember not always getting the holidays off....

09/29/09 05:26 PM #2748

Mitchell Berg (Berg)

They did that at Monticello too. 1/2 Italian (Catholic), 1/2 Jewish.

Anyone Remember David Sutton?

09/29/09 10:50 PM #2750

Val Iberall (O'Connor)

Why do you ask? I used to know him well...

09/29/09 11:36 PM #2751

Rachelle Neher

Steve...it was either Mr. Eddie ( the science teacher who always picked his nose) Or Mr. Rutan (social studies...) he was a test freak!.

Allen Miller

Hi Keevin,

I remember David Sutton. Haven't seen or heard of him since high school.

Like to congratulate the city of Cleveland for getting the 2014 Gay games which will bring in a bunch of money that the city needs. but my question is how do you qualify for the games and how do they really know that you are Gay ??

09/30/09 08:38 AM #2754

Bonnie Hirsch (Lauer)

Only you Louie........would ask that question

09/30/09 09:34 AM #2755

Joyce Shrallow (Presser)

Louie...I read that you don't have to be gay...that makes no sense...does that mean you don't have to have a disability to be in the special olympics???

09/30/09 09:55 AM #2756

Louis Berman

Bonnie
are you thinking about an answer??

Joyce
they have to have some rules just like the special olympics, jewish or black olympics if there are no rules it must be about the $$$$ and will they have coed-dorms
