Is something wrong?  I don't see a post since April of this year?  Has no one been here since then?  Or did some posts disappear???  So I know I haven't been around in awhile, but I'm certain I've visited here since April????  hmmm

Anyway.......I want to wish ANNA CHAPMAN  and YOURS TRULY (we're "twins", ya know?)  a super-duper 61st tomorrow, the 7th of September!

Larry Shyatt just coached the University of  Wyoming to a 12 point victory over San Diago State, televised on ESPN. Way to go Larry. This win will put them in the top 25.http://www.gowyo.com/sports/m-baskbl/wyo-m-baskbl-body.html

From a genealogical site I subscribe to:

Holocaust Survivor's Search for Lost Twin

Menachem Bodner survived the Auschwitz death camp. He was 4 years old then and doesn’t remember his time in the notorious death camp. He knows he had a twin brother, and deep down always believed he was alive somewhere. The only definite link between them is the number tattooed on his arm - A7734. Now, thanks to help from Ayana KimRon, a genealogist, the 72-year-old has proof his brother, Jolli, survived the camp, and he's enlisting the Internet to help find him.

The search began when Ayana KimRon spotted a post from Bodner's partner's cousin on a genealogical message board, and found a Nazi record showing a pair of twins who were "identified as having been liberated at Auschwitz."  Clues lead to possible adoption by a Christian family, then to the USA. Whatever name and location, his tattooed number is A7734.

Can you help? He was named Jolli but the name he uses today is unknown. He may be your neighbor, a friend, or even a relative. You can read more about Menachem Bodner's search on a Facebook page titled "A7734" at https://www.facebook.com/pages/A7734/499971010060858.

My friend Barb Wismar Bellamy ('68) would like to get in contact with CHHS teacher Mr. Laskey. I thought I recalled seeing information about him here, but I can't find it. Can anyone provide it?

Thanks, Bruce

Just found out about our next reunion, but no can do. I sure would love to be involved in  the discussion with everyone, however. Keep me posted on the details!  At that time next summer I hope to be in Alaska visiting my son, wife, and daughter!

Let me say first that I am VERY grateful to the reunion committee for all of their hard work.

However, based on my experience of our last reunion, I'm unlikely to attend. I want to be able to talk with people and not compete with a band at close proximity, as was the case on Saturday evening. I work on Friday evenings. Will there be an "alternate" dining area this time, at some distance from the music?

Thanks,

Bruce

With great sadness I wanted to let everyone know that Sue Kozack Katz passed away yesterday. She was an important part of our reunion committee for the past 30 years. Funeral arrangements are still being made . They will be either Thurs or Fri at Berkowitz Kumin in Cleveland Heights. Check your newspapers or online for details. She will be missed. SHe was not only a classmate to me but a friend. We lived next door to each other for approx. 15 years.

I am very sad to post this information about the death of Clair T. McElfresh, former director of the Heights Choir.

He taught me a lot and gave me amazing opportunities to grow as a musician. I am very grateful to have worked with him.
