So who is everyone rooting for? Orlando or Lakers? Not including Joel...I already know who he wants..

06/10/09 03:39 PM #1861

Val Iberall (O'Connor)

That's way too confusing Joel. Who are you actually rooting for? You were rooting for the Lakers when they were up against the Nuggets and you went to the Lakers game and were rooting for them big time??

LOUIE LOUIE here is where I stand im 5-5 TALL on a good day without fry boots on! And I was born a bit confused .. In a good way! Well its like this.. I always have been a sucker for the underdog and since a lot of our friends live in Florida .. well .. they deserve to have some bragging rights too .. YES! anyway if the CAVS are not their let it be MAGIC... PLUS THE LAKERS ARE TO HOLLYWOOD FOR ME .. THE BOY-CHECK MY SON .. PERSONALLY I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A MUNCHKIN LEAGE 5-8 and under for us little PUPPYS

VAL, Thats true ! BUT My dream was to see the Cavs Play the Lakers in the Play offs in LA (tease all my friends) CAVS cream the Lakers but unfortunately the CAVS LOST then my heart went for you girls in the Florida State with the MAGIC !! I WAS LOOKING FOR THE THE BIG PICTURE: LE BRON AGAINST KOBE "YOU SEE at the end of the day " ITS ALL GOOD "

PS. Remember the song "DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC" by the group " the Lovin Spoonfuls " they need to learn how to promote the crowds should be all over it! no imagination ..Bad PR YES!! Its all about the MAGIC TOUCH!

Wow... Buddy Simon....

He had a shop on Carnegie and used to post humorous and timely poems on the front. I used to work on his cars when I worked for Steve Winger at the Sohio at S Taylor & Superior Park. Buddy was grouchy... I always chuckled at how he could write all these funny poems & be such a grouch.

Hi all. Getting set to watch a bit of game 4 with a bowl of popcorn. Normally I'd be rooting for the Magic, but it's hard to do so after they cleaned our clock. It's
not easy rooting for the Lakers either.

A quick reminder....Keith Arian & myself are heading up the ad committee(committee of two) for the memory book.
If you'd like to advertise your business or company you work for, or you'd just like to leave a message for all to read, send Keith or myself an email. You can go as small as a business card size, or take out a full page if you're inclined. It's a great way to help fund our
upcoming event. Team up with a classmate if you prefer.
There are 4 size ads to choose from. Email or call me
for add'l info.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.

Sue,
You have me lol right now. I treated myself to the Kindle this year. I've run out of places to put books and got tired of giving them away when I'm done. Library books just don't work for me, too many overdue books. I just got a book last week (too old to for the Kindle) that I couldn't wait to read. Once I started, I realized I had read it before, but can't remember the whole story. So now I'm re-reading it, oy. I could probably re-read every book and re-watch every movie I've seen and not remember most of the stories. Something for my old age I guess.

I read a lot too. I prefer fast paced novels. The type that sometime keep you up all night because you can't put them down. Favorite authors are: Kellerman, Patterson, Grisham, Balducci. I like Walmart and Half Priced books and usually stick with paperbacks.

It is funny how you can get several chapters into a book and realize you read it before. Often I keep reading until the end. Sometimes it all comes back to me and I go on to a another book. Glad to know it is not a short term memory loss issue. Since others have the same experience.

I prefer reading to movies because it is a more personal and spontaneous experience. But I do like movies. Usually the children pick what we see.

What is Kindle?

Mitch

If you have Costco or Sam's Club, books are cheaper and they hit there when they are released to the bookstores. A hardback that is $27.00 at the bookstore is $14. and change at the big box store. I read Patterson as well.

My father taught me to keep a notepad and write every book down., that way you can go to the list and see if you have read it.I went one step farther and keep it by author so it doesn't take me long to find out.

Bonnie,
A kindle is a 5x7 or 8x10 machine or computer now a days
that you can download books onto for about 10.00.
Look on Amazon.com it will tell you or google it.

Thank you for that information..........I never heard of that, that is why I have 200 books on our 2 bookcases in our house!

I do keep a running list, so that when a old book is re- published and they put a new pretty cover on it.........I don't rebuy it
