MaryRose Mesa Morley obituary, 1953-2017, Aptos, CA

MaryRose Morley was full of life and fight even as she faced illness. Her love for friends and family, entertaining, food, and traveling the world brought her great joy. As did the home and garden she loved and tended in Aptos Hills for 22 years with her husband and partner in crime Greydon. Together they were active with German Shepherd Rescue making homes for many dogs including the two she left behind, Inka and Max.

She was a jazzercise fanatic for thirty years enthusiastically singing the songs a loud while she exercised. MaryRose was a devoted wife, a loyal, kind, and generous friend whose beautiful smile, sense of humor, and frosty beer mugs will be missed by many.
She was born in Wichita, Kansas to John & Maria Mesa.

MaryRose graduated from high school in Cleveland, Ohio.

Shortly after, she moved to California. She worked for Santa Cruz County Mental Health for many years. MaryRose is survived by her loving husband Greydon and her mother, Maria Muccillo Plescia of Tarpon Springs, FL., She is also survived by a sister and four brothers Clara Martinez, Pasquale (Lino) Mesa and wife Ellen, Antonio (Tony) S. Mesa and wife Vicky, Carlo A. Alvarado and wife Colleen, Joseph (Joe) F. Alvarado and several nieces and nephews.

MaryRose passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her father, John G. Mesa and her brother, John C. Mesa. A private garden memorial service will be held later this month for family and friends at her residence in the Aptos Hills, embraced by the Redwood Trees she so loved.
