
Michael Sievers, 66, of Avon, passed away suddenly after a short battle with Leukemia on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Michael was born on March 18, 1954 to James Francis and Doris Jean (nee Boyd) Sievers in Berea. Mike earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from The Ohio University. He was the President and Co-Owner of Sievers Security for over 40 years. Sievers Security started with only a handful of employees. Mike, Jim, Bob and Amy grew the company to 48 employees and thousands of customers. Mike was an exceptional business person who led Sievers Security through some very difficult times over the past 40 years. He was innovative with his unique advertising strategies that produced great sales. Mike was "Mr. Details" in company reports and graphs. Mike loved golf, swing dancing, art, reading, great food and wine, and making people laugh. He loved to golf with wife, Sandy, and played many rounds at Red Tail Golf Club in Avon where they were members. He took his passion for detail to golf. He was always reading some new golf technique or some new club to try out. Often telling fellow golfers at green side that, "it's proven better to leave the flag in while chipping". Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory is wife, Sandra Scafidi, married November 11, 2011 on Waikiki Beach in Oahu, HI; mother Doris of Richmond Heights; siblings Kathy Zwiedinger of Barrington, IL, Debby Allen of Cuyahoga Falls, twin brother James of Concord, Amy Sievers Roddy of Painesville and Robert of Eastlake; brother in law Basil Scafidi of Lake Elsonore, CA and Joseph A. Scafidi of Chardon; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father. Mike will be remembered as a funny, genuine, thoughtful, gentleman and a wonderful person to call your friend.
