Sam Salupo, 63, of Cambridge, died Sunday (May 9, 2010) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.
He was born August 14, 1946 in Cleveland, son of the late Alfred Salupo and Louise (Geraci) Salupo.
Mr. Salupo retired after forty years as a public servant.
He was a baptized Christian.
Mr. Salupo was a 1970 graduate of Kent State University. He later received his Masters in Public Administration from Ohio University in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Kapp-Salupo of the home, whom he married on June 29, 1996; three sons, Sam (& Cyndie) Salupo Jr. of Powell, Paul (& Katie) Salupo of Cincinnati and Michael (& Sarah) Salupo of University Heights; two sisters, Suzanne (& Nick) Council of Cleveland Heights and Nikki Salupo of Cambridge; and the mother of his children and close friend, Maureen Salupo of Cincinnati. He was the loving grandfather of seven and an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by several cousins and friends; and his two beloved rescue dogs, Tony and Geno.
In accordance with Sam’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private remembrance of his life will occur at a later date.
Sam was an animal lover and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Guernsey County Pound Partners, PO Box 1384, Cambridge OH 43725.
