A great man I admired and a great Doctor. I knew him since Coventry ! Delivered my daughter Sarah and was my wife's Suzanne's Dr. Over 30 years He made Suzanne feel special when diagnosed with MS. What a caring person . Every appointment he asked about me . How was I doing with my restaurant businesses. He loved my pizza...too... We would run into each other a lot on the East side, there was always a joke and a smile. The world lost a wonderful person .

I am truly saddened to read this news. I haven't seen Fred since high school, but I remember him as a true gentleman and a very warm person. I always felt good just for knowing him.

The friendship Fred and I had goes back nearly sixty years.  While our homes were only a block away from each other during our school years we were lucky enough to live even closer to each other for many years in  Columbus.  Fred expressed no bitterness about his fate. He spoke about how proud he was of his family and his professional accomplishments. He and Renee travelled extensively with their children and grandchildren as well as with friends. Of course he would have wanted to live longer but he knew he had lived a good life and was comfortable with his fate. Fred will be missed by many. For me, he was that once in a lifetime great friend who settle standard for how to live and die wth dignity

So sorry to hear about Fred. Just seeing his name takes me way back to our Canterbury days, his great double house on Meadowbrook, walking to school and playing in the woods. Although passing away relatively young, it sounds  as if he had a fulfilling life. Glad we crossed paths along the way/Carole

I was so sorry to learn of Fred's passing. We were 6th grade classmates at Canterbury. Miss Everett's alphabetical seating had me (Adler) between Fred and Hymie Akst. About 20 years ago, I was walking down Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago after work, and a man stopped me and asked if I was Faith Adler. It was Fred, attending an AMA convention. Although I was bundled up from head to toe on a frigid winter evening, somehow Fred recognized me. It was great to reconnect, if only briefly. Whenever I was in Cleveland and drove past his house on Meadowbrook, I thought of him fondly.
