Leo Berliner and I became friends at Wiley Jr. High, and after school we used to walk through MayCompany to home all the time. I thought Leo was cool. He turned me on to Bass Weejuns, and Alpaca sweaters. We listened to the NFL Championship on the radio together. We both were in the choir for Cain Park's production of Good News, and we used to make fun of the lead actor's name, Dave Montague. We loved that name and thought it was funny, because he was so cool, and we weren't cool, and had such Jewish names. We made up our own names after that, and he called me Larry Montegue Jacoby Baby. Leo tried to help me in every way he could, and we had fun together. I was so happy he could come to my first wedding in Columbus. I miss him.
