ANNOUNCEMENTS

In recognition of our class donation as previously described, we wanted to share this lovely acknowledgement with the class.

Thanks so much to everyone who made the "June Class of 1967 Designated Fund" benefitting Heights High possible.  This year has been very unusual and being able to support staff and students as this time is especially meaningful. Your gift is a part of the Auditorium Memories campaign and we're delighted to place a decorative plate thanking the class in the auditorium. In better days ahead, we look forward to you stopping in over Homecoming Weekend and seeing the plate in person!  On behalf of the whole team at Heights Schools Foundation and Heights High, thank you for your generous gift!

Dear June 1967 Alumni Classmates of CHHS,

Due to these unprecedented times, the thought was, the nominal remaining funds from our 50th reunion would be better well served gifted to our alma mater to support Heights High students. We all recognize the difficulties that the school district must address in these trying times. Our donation will go to The June Class of 1967 Opportunity Fund, which will help provide many needed supplies, books, and professional development in this transition time of learning. Teachers, counselors, and social workers are included in the decision-making of what is needed most to improve the educational experiences of the Heights High students. The needs may include instruments for use at home, tutoring for kids working remotely, specialized school supplies, and scholarships for students to participate in enrichment learning opportunities. Our contribution will go toward helping Cleveland Heights High School students thrive.  In honor of our act of kindness, our class will be recognized with a metal plaque in the beautifully renewed auditorium at Heights High.

We would like to encourage any of our classmates who would like to make a donation to consider directing it to this fund, The June Class of 1967 Opportunity Fund, which was created in honor of our class. You can support the fund by sending a check made out to “Heights Schools Foundation” writing The June Class of 1967 in the memo line, and mailing it to Heights Schools Foundation, 2155 Miramar Blvd, University Heights, Ohio 44118.  Or, donate online at www.heightsschoolsfoundation.org. Choose the “donate” tab at the top and the donation form will appear. At the bottom of the form there is a space to designate a gift. Write: June Class of 1967.  That form will take you to secure payment processing. Once you enter an amount it automatically appears.

Thank you! We are certain that each alum from our class will be glad to have participated in “paying it forward”.

      Your Reunion Committee
