Carole G. West (nee Gregar) age 82, beloved wife of Tom: dear mother of Heidi Harris, Michael (Diane) Donley and Genevra (Ross) Fatica; stepmother of Erin West, Dee Dee (Richard) Ball, Alanna Hering (deceased), Coletta "Louie" West; grandmother of 10; sister of Linda (Rich) Litz; aunt of Jonathan (JoAnn) Czomba. Carole died June 23, 2019 from Alzheimer's which was diagnosed in 2011. Carole was a 1954 graduate of Collinwood High School, where she made life-long friends. She was a 25 year employee at The Plain Dealer. She and her husband Tom retired to Emerald Isle, North Carolina in 1996, then began new careers with ProMaxx YoYo's. They participated in school programs and became known as Mr. and Mrs. YoYo by the kids. Carole loved her family and friends, traveling and living by the beach. Funeral Service Friday June 28 at 11 AM at St. John Nottingham Lutheran Church, 17403 Nottingham Rd., Cleveland, Ohio. Family will receive friends at BRICKMAN BROS. FUNERAL HOME, 37433 EUCLID AVE., WILLOUGHBY, THURSDAY 2-4 AND 6-8 PM. Interment Knollwood Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Carole.
