 BUCHAN  MARTHA BUCHAN (nee Stakich), age 78.  "Tootsie" resided in Sarasota with her survivors, son John and grandson, John Thomas Buchan.  Former Cleveland resident, taught St. John Nottingham Lutheran School.  Preceded in death by parents Eli & Martha and brothers, Eugene & Edward Stakich.  Celebration of Life as a loving mother and grandmother at later date in Ohio.

Martha (Stakich) Buchan passed away at age 78 at Hospice House in Sarasota after a short battle with cancer. 'Tootsie' was born in Uniontown, PA. She was a graduate of Collinwood High School and Cleveland State Univ. and former teacher at St. John Lutheran School. She was an avid reader and enjoyed casino trips with her family. A Sarasota resident for 20 years where she resided with her surviving son, John Buchan and grandson, John Thomas Buchan. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews & her beloved dog 'Scooter'. She was preceded in death by her parents Martha & Eli Stakich, husband William Buchan, and brothers, Eugene & Edward Stakich. A Memorial Celebration of her life as a devoted mother, grandmother, caretaker to her parents will be held at later date in Cleveland, OH. Arrangements by Jennings Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Family suggests contributions in her name to the American Heart Association.
