William "Bill" Anthony Grassie,76, Husband to Dorothy Gesinsky Grassie for 52 years, died Thursday February 23, 2012.

Mr. Grassie was born, December 19, 1935, to the late Sam Grassie and Ann Yanusitis Grassie in Cleveland, OH. He worked for John Deere and attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

He coached girls soccer for Simpsonville and Mauldin, and was an Umpire for Dixie Youth in Laurens.

Survivng in addition to his wife is a son, Dwayne Grassie , and wife Martha Ann and Brian Grassie; daughters Rebecca Garrett and husband David and Renee Grassie; and a brother, Tom Grassie; grandchildren, Josh, Shane, Hannah, Braedon, Emily, Ryan, and Abbigal; one great-grandchild, Bryant. He was predeceased by brothers Dominic, Mike, and Jerry Grassie; sisters, Flo DisCenzo and Bonnie Kukilas.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, officiated by Father Patrick Cooper. Burial will follow at Graceland East Cemetery.
