It is with great sadness that I share the news of my mom’s passing, Jo Champa-Hardy, at 9:07 pm Thursday evening, April 22, 2021.  While recovering from a leg injury in a rehabilitation center, she contracted COVID, was transferred to a local hospital, but was not able to recover.  A nurse was by her side as she peacefully passed.  We all loved her very much and she will be greatly missed!!!

Joyce Beverly Champa-Hardy, known by her close friends as Jo, peacefully passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 85.  Joyce was born on March 19, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio.  She was a 1954 graduate of Collinwood High School.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kathy, her husband of 30-years, Edward F Champa, and her husband of 10-years, Donald Hardy.

She is survived by five children, Sons Edward Champa and wife Krayl, Richard Champa and wife Sandra, James Champa and wife Pattie, Thom Champa and wife Maria, and daughter Karen and husband David Mutz, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her two brothers, James and his wife Kathy and George and his wife Sandy.  A private ceremony will be held.  Joyce “Jo” will be greatly missed by all.
