Barbara J. Samolis, 81 of Willowick, passed away Tuesday June 6, 2017 in Willoughby. Born Dec. 22, 1935 in Cleveland, she has been a Willowick resident for the past 59 years.

She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church, the Willowick Jaycee's and a "lioness" member of the Lion's Club. Barbara ran and operated the Willowick Senior Center and volunteered for the Willowick Election Board. She enjoyed bowling.

Survivors are her loving children, James (Pamela), Thomas, Kathleen (David) Green and Elizabeth "Lisa" (Peter) Corso; grandchildren Jessica, Nicole, James Jr., Alexandria, Anna and Audra; brother, Russell (Kathi) Keichel.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 yrs Robert; brother Gordon Keichel.

Visitation will be held Fri June 9th, 4 till 8 p.m. at Jack Monreal-Coyne Funeral Home, 31925 Vine St, Willowick. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St. Willowick. Barbara will be buried at All Souls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in Barbara's memory to the North Coast Lion's Club, 31701 Chardon Rd. Willoughby Hills, OH 44094.
