Ronald L. Franklin, 58, of Kent, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 6, 1954 in Cleveland, to Raymond and Eleanor Marie (Robinson)Franklin. He graduated from John Adams High School in Cleveland, and received his Masters in Counseling from Kent State University.

He is survived by his wife, Rahimah Emma Ahmad; daughter, Alicia Lytel; three grandchildren; brothers, Raymond and Reginald Franklin: sister, Victoria Franklin; Aunt, Nora Burgess and family; nieces, Watiqua and Katrina Franklin all of Cleveland; and beloved pets, Black Bear and Tyson

Calling hours will be 4–5 PM Wednesday, September 5th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St., Kent, followed by a Memorial Service at 5 PM.
