Cost for website?
Posted Tuesday, July 14, 2009 09:55 PM

Carol mentioned that the website is paid for a year. I suggest that we take up a collection at the reunion to maintain it beyond then.  I think this is a great way to keep in touch, particularly for those who can't make it to the reunion.  Does anyone else agree, and have any other thoughts on collecting money for website maintenance?

I Think this would be an excellently idea.

We can certainly do that.  There are also ways to make money with our website and then we can just apply it to the annual cost - more at a later time on that.  There is also an option of adding more classes, we can eventually add 1973 or any other year we choose - they would have their own Classmate profile page.  It's not alot of work to add a class now that the main work is done - we just have to decide we want to do it - and they want to do it.  In emails I have received, many feel like that might be a sensible solution as it is alot of work to keep track of everyone, if people can sign in and update their profiles when they move or change email addresses it makes it easier for the administrator.  It also allows people to communicate better.  Makes reunion planning a lot less time consuming - many people check the website at least weekly so I don't have to clog inboxes with emails.
