Delores Loy (Wood)
Louisville, TN
Delores Ann Loy Wood, 54, of Louisville and formerly of Clinton, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, July 16, at Parkwest Medical Center. Although sudden, it was all part of God's perfect plan. Delores was a gifted musician, and through music and her devotion to family and friends, was a reflection of God's love-as a beloved mother, sister, GranDee, church member, band member, co-worker, and friend.
Delores is preceded in death by her loving parents, J.R. and Mary Ann (Smith) Loy; grandparents Fred and Lorene Smith and Uless and Bessie Loy; and uncle Bob Smith. Delores is survived by her brother Mike Loy and wife Darlene of Clinton; son Jason and wife Maleia of Clinton; daughter AnnaLee (Wood) Peltz and husband Jordan of Knoxville; grandchildren Amelia and Zeke Peltz and Emmy and Blake Wood; father of her precious children Timothy Wood of Clinton; niece Angela Metcalf, husband Bobby, and children Tucker and Tyra, all of Clinton; aunt Betty Smith of Heiskell; and a host of other family and friends. From one of her favorite gospel hymns, Wayfaring Stranger, "…I'm going there to see my Savior; I'm going home no more to roam."
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Faith Promise-Anderson County campus on Sunday, July 19, 2015, with the funeral services immediately following. Pastors Larry Potter and Sidney Spiva will be officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, July 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Farmers Grove Baptist Church. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
