Michael Bryan Jones, 45, of Clinton, died Sunday July 29, 2007 in Campbell County, in an early-morning collision on state Highway 63.
He was born October 6, 1961 in Muncie, Indiana and was a 1979 graduate of Clinton High School. Mr. Jones was a truck driver with Florida Rock and Tank Lines and had worked with them for about a year and a half. He was an avid animal lover and enjoyed motorcycles. Each year he took part in several Motorcycle Runs for children's charities.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Avery Jones.

He is survived by:
His mother, Doreen McMillian Oliphant of Muncie, Indiana;
Brother, Scott Eric Jones and wife Cathy of Oak Ridge;
Sister, Kimberly Jones of Muncie, IN and
Half-sister, Vee Ann Pitts and husband Donnie of Dandridge. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 2:00pm at the Big Mountain Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with Rev. David Coffman and Rev. Joey Cagley officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Jones, Eric Jones, Bryan Jones, Ernie Bailey, Scott Maples and Eddie Duncan. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 – 8pm at Weatherford Mortuary.
