Chauna Louise Barclay, 63, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on April 13, 2024, peacefully in her sleep after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 21, 1960, in Houston, Texas to Charles and Claudette Barclay.
Chauna grew up in the Conroe area and Clute area with her sister and three brothers before graduating from Brazoswood High School. She spent most of her adult life working in administration for the plants and traveling with her husband Dennis to various states for work too. Her greatest joy was spending time with her adoring family, which later included her three granddaughters (Ella, Hayden and Hollis) who were the light of her life. Some of her fondest memories included beach and fishing trips with family, crawfish boils and pool parties in the back yard.
Chauna was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Tipton, father Charles Barclay, and mother Claudette Barclay. She is survived by her sons Stephen (Chelsie) Walters, Charlie Tipton, her sister Donna (Buster) White, brothers Mike Barclay, James (Carolyn) Barclay, Bryan (Karen) Barclay, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Restwood in Lake Jackson. There will be a memorial service for those who wish to celebrate her life on, Saturday, May 4, 2024.
