Billy lived down the street from me on Southern Oaks Dr. We had alot of good times growing up playing pool in my garage, backyard football and just messing around. I remember Billy as a great person and I wish I could have caught up with him in our adult lives. Iam sorry to lose another 1979 class member. Rest in peace Billy

I am very sad to have received this news today (March 20) via the reunion website.  Billy and I were very close in high school.  He lived down the street and we ran around together a lot.  One thing we did often was we would drive to Angleton and we would go bowling together.  My mom used to keep me up to date with news like this, but since she passed in 2008, I’m not as in-the-know as I used to be.  Billy and I had lost touch with one another over the years, but I called him one time when I was visiting my mom before her death and he stopped by and we got to catch up, so I am glad for that.  I at least have many happy memories of the things we did together back in the day.

This news has really wrecked my day.  I think I am more sad that a) I did not know about this, which is an indication of how much I have lost track of old friends and b) the grim knowledge that we, as a class, are getting on up there in years, and this kind of news is going to be coming more and more in the coming years.  Tough day today.
