Jason Steffensen 25, died July 29, 1996, in an automobile accident in Lake Likkian Township, Kandiyohi County , Minnesota.
Services were conducted Aug. 2 at Evengelical Lutheran Church, Cokato with The Rev. John A Peterson officiating. Music was by Karen Anderson and Tracy Hagstrom-Dahl.
Casket bearers were Jamie Steffenson, Travis Steffensen, Brian Madsen, Erik Weaver, Steve Koemen, Dave Sangren, Joey Steffensen, Joel Steffensen, Tim Wallace, Shawn Libor, BArian Dahlman, and Willie Steffensen. Interment was in Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
Jason Randall Steffensen was born Jan. 13, 1971, in Paynesville to David and Sandra Steffensen.
He was a member of the 1989 graduating class of Dassel-Cokato HIgh School. He attended Willmar Community College, graduating from Willmar Vo-Tech with a degree in ag-business. In December 1994 he became a certified crop adviser.
He was married to Jackie Nygaard on Aug 27, 1994, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.
He was employed at South Central Co-op in Fair fax.
Survivors include his wife, parents; a sister, Holly;grandparents Hedvig Steffensen and Walter and Flossie Tollefson, all of New London and Bud Wallace of Soldotna, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by a Grandfather, Lloyd Steffensen.
