Commissioned a 2ndLT with Fish bud-Mike Ostapiej; (Once a Marine always a Marine!!)
Officer Basic – Quantico, VA; Flight School – Pensacola; Received wings and transferred to CH-46 basic Tustin, then stationed in Kaneohe, HI as a USMC FMF Pilot. I made 2 deployments to WestPac-Seeing the exotic Pacific the USMC way! I have been to Olongapo, PI (4 times), ditto on the Wild West!! Twice to Thailand-great place for the body massage!! I had a couple of slings in Singapore. Along with trips to Hong Kong and Japan. A beautiful military resort in the Indian Ocean and then onto Mombasa, Kenya-for the greatest African safari. Then John Wayne time, after the Honorable Ronald Regan deployed us to the working area of Beirut and the Multinational force.

After two tours in the Pacific where I rotated to Pensacola, FL and ended my career as a Flight Instructor. 2ndLt-Captain.
