This past weekend was the annual Wakeman Fireman's Festival/Homecoming. This is my oldest daughter's first year as a 4-H Cloverbud, so we were in the parade. I had to laugh as we were lining up for the parade at all of us who were once in the parade as 4-H members, band members, dance team, whatever...are there now as parents. How did that happen so fast?!

One of the biggest social events of the year for Wakeman!  Do they still have the game where you try to push another person off a log into the mud pit?  What fun times!

Oh gosh you're bring back old memories.  The log game.  That was a hoot!

Julia, I noticed your brother's facebook pictures at the fireman's festivle.  He's a volunteer fireman? 

 That's funny, I lived in Wakeman, grew up in Wakeman, but never been to a Firemans Festival......ever. I think, "We don't grow up in Wakeman, we grow out of Wakeman."

Yes, he's a fireman. Scary...huh?! He loves it...fearless!
