
Shane T. Osterhout, 27, of Collinsville, IL., born January 31, 1991, in Mesa AZ., passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, in Collinsville, IL.
Shane grew up in Collinsville, IL. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree at Chamberlin College of Nursing, St. Louis, MO., and graduated with honors awarded Magna Cum Laude.
Shane worked at Christian Hospital North East as an RN in the recovery room. He enjoyed the camaraderie and compassion of his co-workers. Shane was gentle, caring and a fun loving brother with a profound knowledge of history and musical facts. He was a best friend to many and spoke of his sister Jayme, as “the light of my life”.
Shane’s hobbies included playing drums and guitar, soccer, kayaking, camping and hiking. What he loved the most was to be surrounded by family and friends.
Shane’s passing has torn at the hearts of many as he was a special friend, brother and son. He will be missed immensely ……. But he is now at peace. We love you Shane.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Lee and Maxine Romsa, Bob and Bonnie Osterhout; his aunt Debbie Kolnik; his uncle Brad Osterhout.
Surviving are his parents, Robert “Brent” and Julie Ann, nee Romsa, Osterhout of Collinsville, IL.; his sister Jayme Osterhout of Collinsville, IL.; his soon to be nephew Jackson; his uncles, Jay Romsa of Albine, WY., Lee (Irene) Romsa of Wellington, CO., Jim (Sue) Osterhout of Collinsville, IL.; his aunt Donna (Dave) Wasserburger of Gig Harbor, WA.; his cousins, Dan Lee Osterhout, Andrew James Osterhout, Ryan Patrick Osterhout, Tim Kolnik, Michael Kolnik, Kristina Kolnik, Chris Kolnik, Bryan Rosma, David Romsa, J.C Romsa, Danny Romsa, Brandon Wasserburger.
