Kim was a good friend and a wonderful person. Although she suffered from a very rare muscular disorder - which affected her since before 8th grade - she always had a smile on her face. When I moved to Collinsvile in 8th grade she attended my church. She was always friendly to me and never made fun of my NY accent! I always thought she was a cutie pie.

After college I reconnected with Kim...the disease had worsened substantially and she was no longer able to walk. But she was still the same smiling, cute, wonderful Kim Hooker she had always been. Shortly before our 10 year reunion the disease took her life. I'm thankful to have known her and enjoyed being her friend....We all miss you Kim.

I was saddened when I got on the site and saw how many class members have been lost, especially Kim. She was someone I knew very well. We attended many rodeos together with the Hooker family.

She was a pretty girl inside and out and it's very unfortunate that she left this life long before we think she should have . . .
