Elmer was an incredible individual and a very loyal friend. Elmer and I became very close post graduation and it was a privalidge to have been a close friend to such a giving and caring person. The world indeed lost a saint with his passing.

Elmer and I had known each other since 1st grade and made our First Communion together. I still have the picture of us from that day. He was a true friend whom I miss very much, he would give you anything he had if he thought you needed it. We spent many miles on the road in his Jeep making the trip to Stillwater to party with the Collinsville crowd after graduation. I have lots of fond memories hanging out with Elmer, he was my good friend.

I first met Elmer when I moved to Collinsville for the start of 8th grade. We were in the Boy Scouts together and became close after graduation. He was a great friend, a great person, and a great classmate. Like Bill D and Bill H, we had many good times in that red Jeep of his!

I am so sorry that I did not get to see Elmer before he passed. He was one of those guys that always had a smile on his face. It did not matter how bad of a day you might be having, once you were around Elmer, you immediately were laughing and all things in the world seemed right again.

I too remember great memories of all of us, always a smile and laugh, I never heard a bad word about anyone from Elmer, Him and Bill H. helped me and my first wife move to Nebraska. I saw him a few times over the years and just before he passed, the world will miss such a great guy. Our hopes and prayers to his family.
