Hal, in High School, we became fast friends. You, Rick Moore, and Me. Then Graduation came, and we went our seperate ways in life.
I joined the Navy and for most part never looked back. Then in 2007 on a whim, I started thinking about a 40th Reunion, and whether anyone was involved in planning.
I found you on internet, got in contact, and it was like neither one of us had skipped 40 years. Our Bond was instantaneous, and as good as it was 40 years earlier.
Since then we found so many like interests. Our Love for Harley Davidson Motorcylces, Flying, and a few other things.
Over the past 5 years, we talked almost every Saturday or Sunday Night. Caught up on each others lives, and conversed about many subjects.
Our Political affiliations, Both as you always said, Revolutionary Conservatives. We talked about the course this nation seems to be taking, and how our NationalLeadership just does not get it.
We talked about Aviation, and trying to find a way for you to get your Light Sport Pilots License. You came out to Naples, in April of 2010, and together we attended the 2nd largest week long Aviation flyin, Airshow, and exposition at Sun N Fun, in Lakeland, Florida. We spent a couple of nights in Ybor city, at the Blues Rendition Club, Listening to several great Blue's Bands, and put away far too much beer for our old bodies to handle.
We last talked on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012..... Had I known then it would be our last time to talk about everything, I would not have Hung up, Perhaps in an effort to listen for any sign of the distress that overcame you, so as to rescue you from it.
Was not to be, and now we all find ourselves Wondering why, at such a young age, you were taken from us. I just do not have the words to say... that describes my sense of loss.
I can only hope, you went easily, and now reside in God's embrace, because if anyone deserves life eternal in heaven it is surely you.
I will miss you forever Brother, and just know, that the hole you left in my heart will never be filled.
Ride Easy, Ride Long, And as we wish our Brothers in the Submarine Force.... Rest in Peace Brother...Fair WInds, and Following Seas.....
