Marcos Antonio Lopez

Marcos Antonio Lopez, 22, of Colton died Saturday of cardio-respiratory arrest at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

A native of Tucson, Arizona, Lopez was a lifelong resident of Colton. He worked as a school bus driver for Laidlaw Transportation Co. for two years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include his companion, Tina Chavez; a daughter, Prisilla Elyse of Colton; his mother, Petra Ramirez of Colton; his father, Danny S. of Tucson, Az.; two brothers, Daniel Louis and Christopher Joseph, both of Colton; and a sister, Rosemary Mayen of San Bernardino.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., with rosary at 6 p.m., both Monday at Knopsnyder Mortuary, 404 N. Seventh St., Colton. Mass of Christian Burial is 9 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1106 N. La Cadena Drive, Colton. Interment will be at Hermosa Memorial Gardens, 900 N. Meridian Ave., Colton.

I remember Marcos as a big, happy guy with a big smile on his face always. I know Marcos died even before our ten year reunion, and I can't help but think how sad that his life was cut short. Rest in peace Marcos.

I remember Marcos as a big teddy bear kind of guy. He was always friendly. It's sad to hear that he had died so soon and so young. God bless you,buddy! Rest In peace my friend.

Marcos was my friend, I cried when I found out he had passed, I think of him often, miss you big guy!
